This is the bean-jam-filled wafers which did the model of the wild boar. And this is a famous sweet of the Izu district.
In this district, there is a theme park where the show of the wild boar is seen in, and there is a restaurant serving the meat of the wild boar. The meat of the wild boar tastes wild seems to be delicious. I have never try that before.

And this bean-jam-filled wafers are normal taste. Because a wild boar is a too unfamiliar animal, I enjoyed this bean-jam-filled wafers.

Peanut Monaka

Monaka a wafer cake filled with red (or white) bean jam. This monaka uses peanut with white bean. The flavor of the peanut was fragrant and was delicious.
The peanut is regarded as lucky food in Japan. Because two beans are in one sheath. It is like a happy couple. I think this sweet is so conceptual.

And this box has a shape of the peanut. This is very cute. I think to keep it without throwing it away.
Red and the white combination are said to be lucky in Japan. We can find these color pattern in a traditional wedding ceremony and a festival.

You can buy this monaka in Chiba. Chiba's famous produce is peanut.

Yokan is a thick jellied sweet made of azuki bean paste, kanten and sugar. The common yokan is a black color, but this is transparent orange. This is because the jam of the loquat is contained. And this yokan made of white bean jam instead of normal azuki bean paste.

This yokan is cooked in Tomiura district of Chiba. In this district, a climate is warm, and a delicious loquat is made.I do not know whether a loquat is eaten any place other than Japan. The loquat is fruit of the early summer. It is very refined and smells sweet subtly.

For a foreign person, yokan may be strange food. But, Please try it if you have the chance.

This is the candy which I got by a Malaysian souvenir. And It is a Japanese cartoon character "Doraemon". It is a popular comic following more than 30 years in Japan. The chief character of these comics is a cat form robot called "Doraemon". Do you know about him? He comes over from the future of the 22nd century and saves a boy with various tools. And the boy's name is "Nobita". When he has been troubled, he always call for help to "Doraemon" immediately. So I do not like him very much.
"Doraemon" seems to be particularly popular in Southeast Asia. I am glad that I have you like a Japanese character abroad even if I dislike it.

About the candy, I thought that a thing made in Japan was more delicious. The overseas sweets are also interesting. But after all I realized high quality of the Japanese sweets again.

Sours Gumi Candy

This is a my favorite gummi candy , NOBEL Confectionery "Sours". It is a kind of the hard gumi. I think it is as hard as haribo's one. A characteristic of the Sours gumi is that powder with the acidity is attached around. It resembled grape juice taste and delicious.
I think that the gumi of fruit taste made in Japan is very delicious. I liked the taste of the Wenzhou mandarin orange most so far, but it is not released now. I want to try it if new taste is released. New flavor is released from next to next.

Plum pickles

These are Umeboshi that are pickled Japanese Ume(plum).
After having done food preserved in salt and Shiso(Japanese basil), I dried the fruit of the plum in the sun.I make this in my house in this season. Amazingly,it can preserve more than 100 years if be in good.

The taste is very sour. It match white rice very much, I put it in a rice ball.
Depending on a district, People may use the honey to add sweetness to it.
The sweet pickled ume is delicious too.

Piper retrofractum is the world's oldest pepper and is said to be the only pepper native to Ishigaki iIsland in Okinawa. This spice has a very good smell that blended pepper with cinnamon. In addition to a sharp taste of the pepper, the feature is that it have a unique sweet fragrance!

It is Yamayoshi seika to make this. Very nice potato chips so we can taste Okinawa feeling.

It is simply jellify brown sugar with agar. Serve with soy flour according to your taste.I thing deep taste of the brown sugar is great. It may be delicious even if I serve with ice cream.

The dietary fiber included in agar a lot is effective in suppressing the rise in blood sugar level.

Anmitsu is a kind of Japanese confectionery. Rice-flour dumpling and bean jam, a yellow peach, a mandarin orange, a cherry, a red pea on cubes of agar gelatin. It is eaten with syrup (molasses or dark molasses) poured over it.

Something like table tennis ball is a Rice-flour dumpling.It is silky and delisious.

This is gelidium jelly .It is called tokoroten in Japanese. And it is one of the my favorite summer foods.
It is suitable for diet at approximately 14 kilocalorie per 1 pack. Most of these ingredients are water.It is used for materials of the agar, and the agar is good during diet, and the main material is famous for a kind of the seaweed called the agar-agar as used ingredients. There is little nourishment as a matter of course.

It is from Kanto and to the north and the Chugoku district and to the west and attaches sum mustard and sesame to the thing which I hung mixture of vinegar and soy sauce or mixture of vinegar, soy sauce and sugar and eats.

The good point of this cake is using Tanna milk that is local ingredients for raw materials. They are a delicious milk company which the history is old in Shizuoka Prefecture.They have a sightseeing farm and make cheese and yogurt. I really like it.

This is a tiramisu sold in Seven-Eleven.

The bottom is made of sponge cake. And middle is a chocolate. And top is a mousse of mascarpone cheese and topped with crispy chocolate cookie.

Kakigoori is shaved ice topped with flavored syrup.Summer in Japan is very humidand and today's temperature exceeded 30 degrees. Kakigoori is a Japanese summer tradition. I feel more alert after eating it. It is better than a cup of coffee.

Takoyaki means octopus dumplings which are very popular food in Japan.
Takoyaki is wet round pastry made from flour, eggs, ginger, and various ingredients and is stuffed with diced octopus. We make it by frying the mixture on a special steel plate with dents and rolling it as it is being cooked until ball-shaped. And We put special sauce, similar to Worcestershire sauce, and mayonnaise or bonito stock and garnish bonito flakes and nori on it.It wad popularized in Osaka ( Naniwa ).
Now, We can eat the takoyaki anywhere in Japan, but after all the genuine takoyaki is only in Osaka.

It is a rice cracker of the takoyaki taste, just a souvenir from Osaka. It is very interesting at a point to express taste of the takoyaki well, but it is not genuine.

This is a small Manju ( A bun filled with sweet bean paste) of Ehime of the Shikoku district. There are many legends concerning the raccoon dog in Ehime. The raccoon dog has mysterious power and disguises myself as a person and saves the life of human.

The raccoon dog is not included in an ingredient. We can eat it without worry.
The outside is white bean jam and an egg yolk, glue made of glutinous rice (the thing which powdered the thing which I steamed glutinous rice, and was dried finely) and kneaded.The inside is the bean jam which I made with an adzuki bean of Hokkaido.
It is easy to eat at mouthful size. And It is 550 yen with 12.

I got this from the co-worker of the company today.
This is one of my favorite sweets, "Akafuku".I think it is the most famous Japanese sweet ,and it has the history of 300 years.That’s amazing!
It comes from famous Shinto shrine of Japan, Ise-jingu Grand Shrine.And It is sold in near Ise-jingu Grand Shrine from 5:00 a.m. to treat a person praying at there.

There is thick strained sweet red beans on a rice cake.That is very simple and also very delicious. The raw materials are sugar, an adzuki bean (Hokkaido product), glutinous rice (domestic production), that's all.

Doughnuts

My boyfriend bought some doughnuts at mister Doughnut yesterday.

The one in the front is "is Golden chocolate". The one in the back is topped with glaze of the lemon and the base is a chocolate doughnut.I can not find it's name.
Mister Doughnut gives some doughnuts ussing Japanese ingredients and does it. For example, there are using the buckwheat flour and soybean flour .And there are having brown sugar and black syrup, the powdered green tea for a topping.
Actually, I have not yet tried doughnuts like Japan because I liked American doughnuts of a classic type. But ,I will write an impression if there is an opportunity to eat it.

Summer Daifuku

Daifuku is a soft rice cake stuffed with sweetened bean jam. And it is a Japanese sweet representing the Edo era.
This is a special Daifuku for summer, "Hiyashi Daifuku". The texture is soft and melts away. This is a novel because agar is mixed.
My grandmother likes this very much.
